Each time we skate a new chapter is added to our books of life. A new story unfolds and we embrace whatever radical event happens. Skaeboarding is a fairly dangerous sport however we try to ride within our limits so that we can ride again another day. Too often other drivers on the road cause dangerous situations for us. As you can see in the video that the driver of the mini van passes our buddy Austin Staples. Key let them know whats up with they’re driving and we took some more runs. – Leecifer
(This video has nothing to do with the race other than the name, but we thought it was hilarious)
So we rolled out to the Double Rainbow Outlaw armed with skate and camera gear ready for a fun race. The first hill was extremely rad with riders bombing into a left hairpin that dropped probably around 15 ft through the turn.

Max Capps negotiates the turn with steeze as always. Chance Vinograd follows him down in the purple pants and Ethan Vinograd gets out of the road after a crash. Photo by: Lee Eisler
Everyone took one run down as soon as we had a clear time with no cars. Waiting for a time where no cars were on our race course took awhile and an old man in a mini van informed us that he was calling the cops and that he had our picture and pictures of our license plate. He was literally sitting in his car winding up his little throw away camera and taking pics and yelling at us.We killed him with kindness and told him we were leaving.

Drew Edwards braves driving behind the crazy old man as he rolled backwards, winding up his throw away camera and taking pictures of us.
After heading back to the cafe to rendezvous before heading to the next spot the police came to talk to us. He nicely told us to leave and hinted to the fact that he might not be called if me moved up into the hills more. Out of sight out of mind.

The heats off us. This is a photo of the Sherriff driving away after chatting with us. Photo By Lee Eisler
I didn’t make it to the second hill but supposedly it was another very fun hill. Everyone caravaned there and we had a race. It ended with Tim Del Rosario taking home the win.

The SDCG (San Diego Chain Gang) comes up to go garaging and throw a free race meant primarily for fun every once in awhile. This one happened November of 2011 in Irvine as usual.
Rod Gon seems to be somewhat of the leader of the chain gang and he organizes the event. There were tons of new faces though and many first time racers. Carly Richardson from Landyachtz even came all the way down from Canada just for this race. Victor from sector 9 showed up as always for the SDCG events. The level of stokage was pretty high and grew as the night wore on. The garages were fun and there tons of people crashing onto each other. There were lots of bloody knees and elbows everywhere.
We continued on to the second location and raced, skated, had funand finally ran the award ceremony. At the end of the night the previous king (Rod Gon) handed over the crown to Drew Edwards making him the new king of the garage…until next time. – Leecifer
We went to meet up with some local shredders at a secret location nestled in the California Coast. This spot was so breathtaking we had to put down the shred stick to snap some photos. Here’s what we got.
